FCT Postdocs at CAUP - 2009 Call
Description:
FCT (Portuguese Funding Agency) has opened the 2009 call for applications for postdoc individual grants (deadline 1 September). CAUP will support applications that are broadly relevant for the following research topics:

Applications from researchers able to complement the expertise of the existing scientific teams and capable of adding value to the participation in major international projects are given preference. In particular, postdoc research programs that potentiate the Portuguese participation in ESO and ESA will be considered favorably.

Asteroseismology is one of the topics of the team on Stars and Planets. Applicants with a background on Asteroseismology of Stars accross the HR diagram will be welcome.

The calendar is the following:
- 20 July: submission of a CV, together with a brief statement of research expertise and interests;
- 22 July: pre-selected candidates will be contacted in order to proceed with the detailed preparation of the application;
- up to 1 September: the full application is reviewed by CAUP and submitted to FCT.
